Easy access to lake. Place was spacious. Cute retro decor. Everything nice and taken care of. Clean. Deck was great for coffee in the morning and sitting around the fire table in the eve. 10 minute walk into restaurants. Beautiful sunsets from the pier. Yard worked well for our dogs. Host was always responsive and helped us get a pontoon for the weekend. Pretty lake. Proximity to Milwaukee and Chicago was a plus.

We loved our peaceful stay at Kristen’s cool lake house. It really gave us the retro vibes we were looking for. Kristen’s helpfulness and quick communication was a great bonus! It was fun to watch the ducks and boats on the lake, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck for some sun time. The beds were comfy and we had all the room we needed. Thank you, Kristen!

The space
Welcome to Peace-Waukee!
Our original lakefront home is the perfect getaway for much needed relaxation, fun-filled days on the water, and game nights with your groupies. This home is located in a safe, family-friendly residential community, and walking distance to the shops and beach in the Village of Pewaukee.

This home is stocked full of essentials for your comfort such as kitchen necessities, child amenities, games, and books galore! The “groovy” living room and lakefront bedroom feature large picture windows that offer gorgeous sunset views over the calming water. Furnished with brand new mattresses and linens in 2022.

The extra large back patio is the perfect place to watch the sunset, grill a meal, or gather around the firepit with wine and cheese (When in Wisconsin… ). Bring your boat to tie up to the dock, and your fishing poles all year round – Pewaukee is a premier Musky fishing lake! Pewaukee Lake is home to the largest Muskie population in southeastern Wisconsin.

The bonus basement rec room offers another space to enjoy! This area has a designated workspace, a TV, fireplace, homemade bar, and windows that provide natural light and a view of the backyard. The washer and dryer are also located in the basement.

The original wood-paneling is reminiscent of the classic lake homes from beloved childhood memories. To bring that nostalgia to life, we decorated with a fun, retro aesthetic to bring a smile to your face.

PEACE-Waukee Home Details:
We have filled our home with everything you should need for comfortable lake life!
*This house is a duplex. The rental unit is the entire first floor, basement, and back patio deck. There are NO interior shared spaces or entrances, your space is completely private to you. We have long term tenants the live on the 2nd floor. Since this is a multi-family building, you may hear muffled sounds from the tenants above.

Lake Life:
Bring your own boat and tie up to our pier, or rent a boat, kayak or paddleboard from the local rental spots to soak up every minute of sunshine on those long summer days.
Pewaukee is a premier fishing lake all year long! Bring your rod and fish off the pier. The Ice Fishing is a very popular activity in winter. The crisp fall nights enjoyed on the back patio around the fire as the leaves show their beautiful colors might be my favorite time of year.

Outdoor living: Large outdoor patio, 65ft flat, grassy backyard frontage with plenty of room to spread out, gas grill, outdoor gas firepit and chairs, private pier and dock (bring your boat!), and a kid-friendly sandpit next to the water! Pewaukee is a premier fishing lake, and has multiple restaurants you can arrive to by boat. We are located walking distance to downtown Pewaukee shops and beachfront.
Oh and did we mention the sunset is spectacular?!

Kitchen: Fully equipped with cooking and dining basics for enjoying meals at home. Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, range, & disposal. Dining table expands to comfortably fit 8 people. Traditional drip coffee maker, wine glasses, cutting boards, knife block, pots and pans, grilling utensils, and

Additional Amenities: Free WIFI, 2 Smart TVs, Cable, ample outdoor seating, linens and towels, luggage racks, hangers, blow dryer, portable tower fans, iron and ironing board, and lots of fun games and books.

Family friendly amenities: pack-n-play, highchair seat, toys, books and games, bunk bed, kids’ utensils and plastic kitchenware. Don’t forget your furry family member – we are also dog friendly!

Where to go/ What to do:
We are centrally located in the Lake Country Area, just a short walk to Pewaukee’s downtown beachfront with public beach, shops and restaurants. The surrounding areas are offer lakes, parks, and restaurants in every direction! Only a half hour to Milwaukee’s attractions and fantastic restaurants, and 1 hour to Madison.

Our 1 BR cottage is a perfect retreat for 2 or a getaway for a small family. The loft above the kitchen provides additional sleeping space and is equipped with 2 double beds but is not a private bedroom.
*Please note this is a true loft, and the ceilings are quite low, and a ladder is used to access the loft.

Enjoy a night around the natural firepit under the string lights and the stars.
Fire up a meal on the charcoal grill.
2 Kayaks are provided to explore our slice of Friendship Lake.
Bring your rods and throw in a line down by the water’s edge.

4 BR / 3.5 BA spread across 3 floors of lakefront living space!

THE EXPERIENCE:
This stunning 4400sq ft lake home is a spacious 3 stories featuring gorgeous lake views from all floors. Stocked with all the needed amenities and necessities to ensure your perfect lake vacation begins from the minute you walk in the door.
Enjoy the relaxing lake views all year round. Take the short walk into town to experience the local restaurants. Try your paddle boarding skills in the summertime and watch the kids swim off the pier. Enjoy easy cooking at home in the chefs kitchen. Gather round one of the many fireplaces and watch the leaves change colors around the lake in Fall. Finish the evening in the hot tub overlooking the water.

The lower level offers another full Bath, Queen Bedroom, living room and wet bar. The living area opens up to the 3 seasons room, which boasts another fireplace, TV, and lake views. The 8X8 private hot tub is directly outside the 3 Seasons room and overlooks the water- perfect for relaxing on a cool evening.

OUTDOOR:
Multiple patios and spaces throughout the property offer peaceful outdoor lounge spots with a lake view. We also have a 3 seasons room, fire pit, grill, hot tub and free sunsets!
Watch the leaves change around the lake during Fall- a gorgeous site! Try your hand at ice fishing in winter.
Lake country area is filled with beautiful parks and walking trails to explore!

LAKE TIME:
Okauchee Lake is a 1200 acre lake with a max depth of 90ft. There are several restaurants and bars you can pull up to from the boat. You will enjoy it all on this lake – good for swimming, tubing, fishing, ice fishing or cruising! There are many fun canals to explore and beautiful houses to admire – plus 4 different lake bar/restaurants you can arrive to by boat! For summertime lake enjoyment, you will have access to 2 inflatable SUPs and a water lily pad. A variety of life jackets are on site. Feel free to BYOF (Bring your own floaties).

BOAT DAY:
Enjoy renting our pontoon, or bring your own boat!
Rent: An 11 person pontoon boat is available to rent during your stay, with multi-day discounts available. The boat is docked at the house pier for your convenience. Please message for more information!

Bring your own: The pier can also accommodate one spot to tie up if you’re inclined to bring your own boat. There are several public boat landings on the lake to launch your boat.

There is ample spaces to enjoy a meal – eat in the dining nook overlooking the pool, at the kitchen island, or dine outside on the lanai.

OUTDOOR LIVING:
The peaceful & private lanai offers a lovely indoor/outdoor experience.
You can access the patio from the central living area as well as the primary bedroom.
The large, heated pool (pleasantly warmed to 80 degrees for all guests) is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Florida weather. A temporary pool safety fence is on site and recommended for guests traveling with children. Additional outdoor amenities include lounge chairs, electric grill, pool floaties, and fenced in grass backyard.

FAMILY FRIENDLY:
This home has been stocked by a Mama to ensure traveling with young kids is as comfortable as possible! Amenities include Pack n Play, strap-on high chair seat, kid utensils, bunk beds, games, books, pool toys and wagon – and of course a washer and dryer!

DOGGY FRIENDLY:
Furry friends are family too! One dog per reservation is welcome. The back yard has a small fenced in grass area for your dog, complete with a doggy door! We ask all guests to pick up after your pooch.

BEACH DAY:
We are only 4 miles from the Iconic Naples Pier Beach – sugar sand stretches out as far as the eye can see! The Pier is a wonderful place to fish or watch a magnificent sunset over the Gulf (no matter how many times you see it, it does not get old.) We have beach amenities on site – wagon, sand toys, beach chairs, sunbrella, boogie boards! Pack up, make a day of it, and return home to your clean, comfortable home away from home.

Apollo Beach is a residential, coastal community 30 mins South of downtown Tampa and all the Bay area’s many sights and attractions! Our backyard canal leads directly into Tampa Bay – book a charter to pick you from the dock, or spend the day exploring the waterways by kayak or paddleboard. Keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and manatees!

Where to go/ What to do:
*You could easily relax in the sun and play in the pool all day, but if you are interested in venturing out, a car is recommended.
*Tampa is an easy 30-40 minute drive into all the city has to offer!
*We are within an hour drive to many gorgeous Gulf Coast beaches (St Pete, Siesta Key, Clearwater & Anna Maria) – makes a great day trip!
*Busch Gardens is an easy commute (about 30 minutes)!
*Disney and the heart of Orlando is just over an hour drive.

Apollo Beach Activities:
*Circles and Finns are 2 delicious restaurants overlooking the marina & are walking distance from our house.
*Apollo Beach Plaza is less than 2 miles away and complete with Publix, CVS, Starbucks, UPS and many options for restaurants and local shops.
*Watch the stunning Florida sunset over the Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg skylines from the Apollo Beach Nature Preserve beach or lookout tower, a quick 1.5 mile stroll from home (no swimming allowed).
*Less than 5 minutes to the well-maintained Apollo Beach Park and Community Center, which features many amenities including a playground, splash pad, sport courts and a skate park.
*Stop by the nearby Manatee Viewing Center to view Manatees in their natural habitat or pet a stingray! Tampa Electric’s award-winning Manatee Viewing Center is open November 1 – April 15, and it’s FREE!
*Little Harbor is a small resort community 20 minutes south and offers a free, swimmable beach, 2 excellent restaurants, and beautiful grounds to explore.
